EQUESTRIAN SERVICES

SAND SCHOOLS & GALLOPS

Arguably one of the most important investments for equestrains, the construction of a sand school or gallops should use quality materials combined with astute planning and design. Our sand schools and gallops are designed for everyday use providing a durable and effective riding surface. We carry out a site survey to asses the need for planning permission required and provide a plan. Construction often requires significant earth moving to landscape and compact providing a stable and firm base. Drainage must be considered along with suitable fencing and sand, with chopped rubber as an option to provide consistancy and spring.

MUCK HEAPS

We provide a service to design and construct a useable working area for muck heaps. They require a solid base (such as concrete) for ease of maintenance when sweeping up and keeping tidy. The access route must also be considered so as to not churn up the soil. The location of a muck heap should be convienient, have easy access for large vehicles, and should not be located near to a streams or ponds etc due to pollution. We also recomend installing a boundry wall to contain any overspill.

CONCRETE AREAS

Concrete areas are usually the best option when you require a durable and solid base which can withstand constant and heavy uses such as storing vehicles, machinary or feed etc without degrading the ground. Concerete areas can also let you use a space more efficiently if the ground is already in a poor condition. A permanant conrete base is often chosen for muck heaps and heavy machinery.
